A typical family of five can expect to spend almost $100 for a night at the movies, more than $125 for a night of community theater, and almost $300 for professional touring theater. With arts programs in schools having been decimated by the pandemic and habitual underfunding, the number of school children who have ANY interaction with theater - at ANY level - is exceptionally low, at best.
Nebraska Shakespeare provides world-class, professional productions of Shakespeare’s plays in Elmwood Park for FREE as well as a professional, State-wide fall touring production that focuses on serving rural and underserved communities throughout the State, bringing professional productions to their schools and community centers.
